The Dutch-German Businessclub organises a company visit to tile company Royal Mosa in Maastricht on 24 October 2007. The factories in Maastricht produce 5 million square metres of ceramic wall and floor tiles per year, destined for Europe, North America, the Middle East and Asia.

Easy access to the Dutch market for Belgian and German service companies

It has become more easy for Belgian and German companies to provide services in the Netherlands. The obligation to apply for a special permit (“ontheffing”) before starting work has been abolished since 1 July 2007.

IHK Aachen starts cooperation with Quito/Ecuador

The Euregional project „automotiveNET.eu“ developed a new database for the automotive industry. The database shall stimulate crossborder co-operation between automotive companies, teaching and research organisations.

Exceptional position concerning tax law for AVANTIS

AVANTIS is the first cross-border economic-activity-area in Europe with an exceptional position concerning taxes. Companies located here can choose whether they pay taxes according to German or Dutch law: companies whose management offices are located on the German side of AVANTIS pay taxes according to German law, companies whose management offices are located on the Dutch side pay taxes according to Dutch law.

Historic visit Voka-KvK Limburg to Liège

In July, Voka-KvK Limburg visited the future TGV-station in Liège with a delegation of 80 Limburg entrepreneurs. During this meeting, history was made when Liège mayor Willy Demeyere confirmed that the new name for this station will be “Liège-Limburg”.
