World Trade Center Heerlen Aachen started activities in March 2007

In March 2007 the World Trade Center Heerlen Aachen (WTC) started providing its services - as the first cross border WTC of its kind supported by partners from two neighbouring countries. It is established in the Dutch-German cross border business park AVANTIS. This implies advantages such as an excellent accessibility to traffic infrastructure, the proximity to the Dutch and German markets, as well as easy access to the knowledge and technology of the  internationally-known top universities in the Euregio Meuse-Rhine.

The bi-national WTC Heerlen Aachen offers special opportunities for companies as a first step for cross border business, with the general aim to push economy, reinforce the euregional structures, provide added value for trade and industry and to promote the business park AVANTIS as well as the other economic development areas in the Euregio.

A WTC combines some standard services and real estate development. So the WTC Heerlen Aachen provides on the one hand flexibly furnished office space and offices of at least 30 square meters in size and rooms for conferences and events. On the other hand it offers services for international orientated companies such as start-up consultation, market information on Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands and other countries or reception services. Furthermore, it makes contact to business networks and organizes trade delegations, seminars or conferences.
